Introducing the latest ZAKI-made project for the Livorno–Capraia–Collesalvetti tourism area
We are proud and excited to announce the launch of Visit Livorno, the official events portal for the Livorno, Capraia Island and Collesalvetti tourism area. The platform was developed on behalf of Fondazione LEM – Livorno Euro Mediterranea and officially presented yesterday morning at Cisternino di città, alongside the Mayor of Livorno Luca Salvetti, Tourism Councillor Rocco Garufo, Culture Councillor Simone Lenzi and Adriano Tramonti, Head of Promotion and Event Management at Fondazione LEM.
We worked closely with the client and met ambitious deadlines to develop the new Visit Livorno brand and its digital platform. The result is a hub that brings together all cultural, sports and entertainment events across the area, searchable through around 30 different filters (location, audience type, event features, date), guiding each user through an accessible, interactive, engaging and highly customizable user experience.
In addition to browsing events, users can purchase tickets or book free events directly through the platform. Events can be submitted to the editorial team, and visitors can explore individual hosts, institutions and leading local initiatives such as Fondazione Goldoni or the Mascagni Festival, whose events are published consistently and automatically.
“This website has been exceptionally well designed” — these are not our words, but those of Culture Councillor Simone Lenzi during the launch press conference — “Visit Livorno allows users to personalize their experience according to their interests, while still offering the chance to discover something new. With this new tool, it finally feels like the promotion of Livorno is stepping out of the ‘old small world’ and embracing the contemporary era.”
While we look forward to sharing more about the skills, services, challenges and solutions behind the Visit Livorno case study, we can already say that this initial release will be followed by new features and further upgrades, including Alexa integration, a connected web app and an accessibility widget to further enhance the platform’s usability.
For now, we would like to thank Fondazione LEM and the Municipality of Livorno for their trust, support and collaboration — without which these results would not have been possible.
From today on, the common local saying “There’s nothing to do in Livorno” finally has a clear and simple answer: Visit Livorno.
