Pioneer of digital innovation: our brand repositioning project for one of Italy’s emerging digital companies.
Founded as a startup within the natural incubator of the Computer Science Department at the University of Pisa, Geckosoft quickly grew into a digital excellence within just a few years. The company turned to Zaki for a brand repositioning to align its image and communication tools with its new business dimension.
Working in close and constant collaboration with the client, our project began with a strategic phase focused on the brand, followed by the development of tools for its institutional storytelling both online and offline.
The final step — currently ongoing — involves the continuous production of essential content, mainly for the corporate blog and social media channels, to keep Geckosoft’s conversation with its target audiences alive, while further strengthening the brand’s image and authority.
Founded in 2016 by two Computer Science students, today Geckosoft is a digital company of more than twenty people, with two offices in the historic center of Pisa. Its work spans multiple areas: digital transformation, web apps, mobile apps, deep tech, big data and cloud services. Geckosoft acts as a technology partner for universities, public administrations and companies, guiding them through the complexity of digital transition with dedicated consulting services and the development of cutting-edge, tailor-made and technically flawless digital solutions.
The main challenge of this project was the need to align every communication tool and piece of content — down to the smallest detail — with the new brand image. In particular, it was challenging to build a brand personality rooted in the archetypes of the Magician and the Explorer, while expressing it through the clean, minimalist style of a tech company. The goal was to communicate effectively with new talents to be recruited, businesses to be guided through digital transformation, and entrepreneurs with brilliant ideas ready to be brought to life.

We then worked to express Geckosoft’s new business dimension and brand personality through the first communication tool we developed: the new website. This involved an integrated effort across design, development, branding and the creation of visual and SEO-oriented textual content. Key highlights include:
The subsequent phase focused on a strategy aimed at connecting Geckosoft with its target audiences, both organically and through sponsored campaigns. After defining an editorial plan for the blog and social media channels, along with the web marketing strategy, we moved on to developing monthly content (blog articles, social media content, social campaigns and Google campaigns), directly managing daily publishing operations and performance optimization.
