Exploring innovation: a new corporate identity designed to ensure Restart is perceived correctly in the minds of its potential clients.
Industry 4.0 is ushering in a new era of industrial automation, unfolding through the adoption of new digital technologies—especially the Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence—developed and applied to optimize processes with a view to improving not only production performance but also working conditions and resource efficiency.
Restart is one of the few Italian companies able to fulfil—particularly within its reference markets (automotive, chemical industry, mineral mining, tissue converting, lighting)—the role of a preferred technology partner for all those industries that must innovate and improve their production standards.
For us, it was therefore a great honor to be chosen by Restart to solve their corporate communication challenges, especially those related to a brand image that was not adequately perceived by its target companies.
Founded in 2001, Restart is now an Italian excellence in industrial automation. Specializing in the design and development of custom-made plants and production lines for Industry 4.0, it stands out for its strong focus on innovation and research. Backed by top-tier company know-how and specialized, highly focused expertise in Lean Manufacturing, it is able to fully leverage the advantages offered by the most cutting-edge, high-performance technologies (robotics, IoT, AI) with the aim of creating modular, easily upgradable lines that maximize productivity and ease of use.
With the goal of reducing delivery times, every stage of the process—from electrical and mechanical design to software programming, all the way to final assembly—is carried out in-house. But the aspect that most captures the attention of non-specialists is undoubtedly the design. Don’t be fooled, though: behind the aesthetics lies meticulous attention to detail, conceived to offer industry operators an advanced tool and a pleasant working environment—functional, tidy, and practical.
The Italian Industry 4.0 market is steadily growing. Robotics, Cloud Manufacturing, Advanced Automation, Advanced HMI, Industrial IoT, Advanced Analytics, and Additive Manufacturing are all application areas that—each in their own way—have posted significant increases in recent years, and not even the pandemic has slowed them down.
To remain credible in an ever more innovation-driven industrial sector, Restart needed to evolve its image in line with its company roots and its operating philosophy centered on Lean Manufacturing, while also conveying the pragmatism and corporate solidity required to reassure a target made up primarily of large enterprises.
It was precisely the concept of “solid leanness” that, from the very first phases of the project, guided much of the design work and content production.
Goals:
Inspired by the automotive sector—its long-standing reference market—the new Restart mark is a monogram that speaks directly to the industrial world. Dynamic and concise, paired with a custom typeface we designed specifically so we could also develop the product logotypes, it defines the geometric references of the communication format. This, in turn, is enhanced with bespoke infographics and shapes the design of all communication tools, both online and offline. A lean yet impactful visual project, followed by the development of all corporate contents—also consistent with the personality and tone of a hero brand devoted to innovation.
